Embedded attachments

When to use this

A PDF needs to carry a source spreadsheet, evidence file, or other supporting attachment inside it.

Add or manage an attachment

Select the document in the sidebar.
Open Inspector → Attachments.
Click Add attachment, or drop one file into the panel.
Use the download button beside an item to extract a copy, or the trash button to remove it.

Add and remove are undoable. A normal PDF export preserves attachments even though assembly, compression, and imposition rebuild the document internally.

Warning

Sanitize for sharing deliberately strips every embedded attachment. Attachment controls are also unavailable when Orifold cannot manage the selected member’s bytes, such as an encrypted PDF without an available password.
